Nicole Coyle

Community Lead

Nicole is the Community Lead for Catalyst. Nicole plays a central role in our on-site Community team to help create a collaborative community environment at Catalyst’s Derry-Londonderry campus amongst our members and the wider stakeholders.

Before joining the Catalyst team, Nicole previously worked in retail and the hospitality sector as well as running her own fashion & textile design business. Based in The Fashion & Textile Design Centre Derry, a ‘not for profit’ social initiative, which supports newly graduated designers and start up brands, providing mentoring and facilities.

Nicole had the opportunity to receive mentoring from the likes of Eddie Shanahan; Irish based consultant who developed the CREATE Project with Brown Thomas, to identify Irish design talent with the potential to sell in Ireland’s premier store.

Her business was nominated for ‘Northwest Craft Industry of the Year’ at the NW Business Awards and won ‘Best Newcomer’ Award at the DCSDC Craft Awards and has taken part in several of Derry’s successful Fashion Fest’s.
