Ulster University product and design student, Jenny Gregg from Newtownards won the Agri Science category at the INVENT awards. She beat off stiff competition to win a £3,000 prize fund, as well as the chance to showcase her equestrian health product, Crafted Equestrian to almost 700 innovators, company CEOs and leading members of the business community.
Having identified a gap in the market to improve the health of her horse, Elvis, Jenny created a customisable girth that can improve horse welfare and comfort and through funding and support she was able to bring her product to market.
INVENT is an annual competition run by Catalyst. Through various pitching stages and mentoring it aims to find the most innovative business idea that has the greatest economic potential.
